In addition to the coach's experience, some services offer you more time or interactions with your coach as your level increases. As a career counselor who has worked with many people, I have discovered that recording is a resource that you will use and benefit from for many years to come. In my coaching work, I know each client as a completely unique person and recommend work and career ideas that are perfectly suited to their needs. Each client receives a list of very specific ideas from alternative jobs and careers that I think could be a combination for them, and specific research strategies to investigate those ideas and be able to choose the best career direction for them.
The sessions include quantitative and qualitative evaluations of your values, personality, interests, strengths and preferred skills, such as Myers Briggs, Strong Interest Inventory, DISC and Skill Scan, attention to your personal professional history and emotional considerations, resources for exploring options, tools for making decisions, help in charting a course and a schedule for achieving the chosen goal. In addition, I have an encyclopedic knowledge of jobs and careers, as well as a patented technological platform, which allows me to quickly identify alternative work and professional options. Some people, especially people with high incomes, accept an initial wage cut so that they can transition to a new job and career that are more satisfying in other important ways. When working with clients, I always try to identify work and professional options that take advantage of their skills, knowledge and experience so that they can start with the highest possible salary.
Some clients want to quickly discover alternative work and career options, and will schedule their two career counseling sessions in one week. For example, a career book for accountants who want to make a career change could recommend 20 specific options for accountants. Coaching will include best practices in standard and behavioral interviews, and in those challenging panel interviews. In almost every case, your coach will be able to help you find a solution, as long as you contact him.
